Having access to a dedicated companion during the dying process can be a welcome emotional and spiritual support at a challenging time for you and for those who love and care about you.

Holistic and Spiritual End of Life Care

I provide holistic and spiritual end of life companionship in the Soul Midwife tradition, have trained with Felicity Warner and abide by the Principles of Soul Midwifery. Felicity Warner began Soul Midwives™ over 20 years ago and its gentle practices have changed the face of modern holistic and spiritual palliative care in the UK and abroad.

As your companion, I will draw on traditional skills to lovingly ease your passage from this life and to ensure that your death is as dignified and peaceful an experience as it can be. I am based in Shepton Mallet, Somerset and I am happy to work with you whether you are currently in a hospice, a care home or in your own home. As a companion, I will work alongside your palliative care team, rather than as a substitute for it, ensuring that your holistic (whole person) and spiritual needs are recognised, included and supported.

I abide by the Soul Midwives code of conduct and the services I provide include:

  • Deep listening
  • Working with touch, music/sound, visualisation,Β
  • Spiritual companionship,
  • Vigiling – sitting with those who are close to death

I am fully insured for this work and have an enhanced DBS.

I am also a member of Dying Matters ( a co-alition between the NHS and The Palliative Care Council) with a membership base of over 30,000 people across England and Wales which aims to help people talk more openly about dying, death and bereavement, and to make plans for the end of life.
